The Marlboro County School District Board of Trustees seeks an experienced, student-focused educational leader with integrity to serve as its next Superintendent. Marlboro County School District serves approximately 3700 students in grades 3K-12 across eight schools county wide and also provides adult and community education. The District is governed by nine Trustees who are elected by constituents in eight single-member districts; the Board Chair is elected at-large.
The District prides itself on our sense of community (#MarlboroStrong) and works with our community partners to provide our students with unlimited potential. Our facilities have been recently renovated, and there are several outstanding projects that continue to be monitored. Conveniently located near North Carolina and the popular South Carolina coast, Marlboro County provides accessibility to opportunities outside of the PeeDee area but maintains great pride in its close-knit community ties.
A competitive compensation package will be offered to the candidate who can provide the necessary leadership to ensure our (1) students succeed both inside and outside of the classroom and (2) staff feel supported in their efforts to lead their students.

Qualifications:
Possesses or is eligible for South Carolina Superintendent Certification
Successful and significant administrative educational experience at the building and District level within the Southeast is preferred
A doctoral degree in educational administration is preferred
A passion for the education of all students
Experience leading staff in a positive direction and building trust and integrity as a team
