DECA

MCHS DECA students attended the SC STATE CAREER DEVELOPMENT Conference February 25-27 in North Charleston. The following DECA students took the stage: Landon Shelley was installed as the Vice President of Hospitality for the state of SC DECA. Kaileigh Ashworth and Karyn Holloway placed first place in the Entrepreneurship team decision event, Kennedy Miles placed third in Employment Acquisition, Alex Stroman placed fourth in Public Speaking, Remiya Jackson placed fifth in Employment Acquisition, and Logan Haithcock and Tiajah Williams were in the top ten finalist for Hospitality Services Team event. Sha’nya Gaines and Kennedy Miles represented the chapter as voting delegates.

The MCHS chapter was awarded the gold status for the Program of Work, silver for membership and won February Chapter of the Month. DECA is celebrating 79 years as we continue to develop emerging leaders in marketing, management, finance, and entrepreneurship careers.
